Okay, so I know that it's been forever but what can I say, you keep me busy. It is my only excuse, other than to tell you that it is almost painful to write of you as you grow. You just turned 4. There it is, I said it, and before you ask yes there were many tears. You are so beautiful and happy. Watching the world through your eyes is a gift that I never knew that I wanted. This year for your birthday we took you to Disneyland to celebrate. They gave you a button that you loved that said it was your birthday and off we went. What they did not tell us was that, that button had everyone in the whole park turning upside down cartwheels for you. I am not exaggerating when I say that you really thought that the whole park was there just for you, and why shouldn't you think that? It is your world. Needless to say that we all had a great time, for the entire 12 hours that we were there and you didn't fall asleep until you were safely laying on daddy's shouder at the tram station. There was one minor hiccup during the trying on of the perfect princess party dress, an omen I'm sure. Anyway, the dress had un-stretchy arms, so once they were on there was no getting it off...literally. You were standing in the dressing room crying with your arms above your head and I ran out to the cashier to get some scissors to CUT you out. When we fianlly got it off of you after me stifling my laughter, you looked at me with tears shining in your eyes and said "I'm a pwincess disasta" and then there was no holding back after that. I grabbed you and giggled while I held you and told you it was ok. When we got to the front I told you that we should probably pick out another one and you looked at me with confusion and said, "No momma, that's the one that looks best". Never to early to learn the rules of fashion I suppose. The extravaganza continued on Sunday when we had your Princess Party at the house. There were dresses and shoes galore, lent to us by your friend G. Pink and Purple glittering cupcakes, and all of your friends and family. Once more I watched you float around on the bubble that is your world with nothing but joy and laughter. No weird snotty moments, no tantrums, just the unadulterated version of you. Happy Birthday little girl. May they always be what you dream them to be.
